Trevor Brazile once again is the World Champion All-Around Cowboy.

Brazile clinched his record ninth world all-around championship and his 16th gold buckle overall on Dec. 4, 2012, which ties him with Jim Shoulders for second all-time in ProRodeo history. Only steer roper Guy Allen (with 18) has more.

Cheyenne Frontier Days, the world's largest outdoor rodeo and Western celebration, opens July 22, 2011 and organizers promise 10 days of fun and excitement, with evening entertainment provided by a range of top artists such as Toby Keith, Kid Rock, Darius Rucker and Mötley Crüe.

Marking its 115th anniversary, Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) will run July 22-31, and the Wyoming extravaganza will feature parades, Native American dancing and storytelling, a carnival midway and a performance by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds air demonstration team.

At long last, Trevor Brazile stands alone. The Decatur, Texas, cowboy finished second in the team roping and sixth in the tie-down roping in Round 2 of the 52nd Wrangler National Finals Rodeo being held in Las Vegas, Nev. to clinch a record eighth all-around world championship.

On Dec. 3, Brazile earned $16,665 in the two events in front of a sold-out crowd of 17,197 to pass ProRodeo Hall of Famer Ty Murray and become the first cowboy in rodeo history to win eight all-around gold buckles.

Five of rodeo's legends were inducted July 17, 2010 into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame and the ceremony had the feel of a family reunion.

Honored for their achievements were Paul Mayo, a two-time world champion and an innovator in the style of bareback riding that is still used today; 1974 world champion saddle bronc rider John McBeth, three-time National Finals Rodeo bull riding champion Denny Flynn, bullfighter Rex Dunn and third-generation stock contractor Bennie Beutler.

Trevor Brazile's return to 2010's competition went just fine - even if it did come a little earlier than planned.

Brazile won the tie-down roping and paired with Patrick Smith to win the team roping at the 50th Annual Daines Ranch Rodeo in Innisfail, Alberta, over the June 16-20 weekend, earning $10,180.

A nationally televised event on ESPN Networks, it will close out the 91st Annual Buffalo Bill Cody Stampede Rodeo. Forty of the world's top bull riders will converge on Cody Stampede Park to take their shot at a $50,000 purse.

Tyson Durfey Sets Arena Record at Oregon’s Sisters Rodeo

Tyson Durfey says he wants to live his life "like a snowball coming down a mountain, getting bigger as I go."

He seems to be on his way.

Durfey has qualified for each of the last three Wrangler National Finals Rodeos and improved his spot in the final world standings each year, advancing from 11th in 2007 to seventh a year later and third last year when he won $85,236 in Las Vegas.
