Renovations Will Temporarily Close Yosemite’s Ahwahnee HotelThe historic Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park in California will shut down for three weeks starting Feb. 22, 2011 to allow uninterrupted work on a multitude of renovation projects.

With an expected completion date of March 17, the extensive work will be conducted to upgrade the fire detection, alarm, and suppression system throughout the historic hotel. This work includes guest rooms, restaurants, shops, and public spaces at the hotel.
