Saguaro NP’s Soltice Holiday Car Caravan

Explore the natural side of the winter solstice holiday-stars, evergreens, wildlife (for example, cardinals, turkeys, and roadrunners)-on a unique nighttime drive Thursday, Dec. 30, through Saguaro National Park's Rincon Mountain District (Saguaro East) in Tucson, Ariz. Auto tours will be offered at 5:30, 6, 6:30, 7, 7:30 and 8 p.m., and will feature several stops along the eight-mile Cactus Forest Drive. Each tour lasts approximately one and a half hours. Cookies and cider will be offered at the park's visitor center all evening. As space is limited, advanced reservations are required, and can be made by calling (520) 733-5153. This program is wheelchair accessible.
