Tales of Terror and Trickery: Black Hills Storytellers

The Black Hills Storytellers will haunt the halls of the Adams Museum in Deadwood, South Dakota for a frightful evening of ghoulish tales on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009 at 10 p.m. in the Pioneer Room at the Adams Museum, 54 Sherman Street, Deadwood.


This spooky event is recommended for individuals high school age and older. The program is a part of the 2009 South Dakota Festival of Books held throughout Deadwood during the weekend of Oct. 2 – 4 and is open to the public and free of charge. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Call (605) 578-1928. Parking for the Adams Museum is available on Deadwood Street, Siever Street and in the Miller Street parking lot.


The only storytelling guild in South Dakota, Black Hills Storytellers transports its audience with ghostly tales and delves into the world of fantasy, shape-shifting, terror and ghoulish humor. The diverse group is enthusiastic and shares a love of the oral traditions of storytelling. The result is an entertaining program that features folk, personal and literary stories that highlight various interpretations of our nighttime fears.
