Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion Gears Up for September

Classic car lovers are revving up for this year’s Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion in Ontario, California and set for Sept. 19-21, which last year drew nearly 140,000 spectators, hundreds of vintage automobiles, vendors and three days of great food, live music and fun.

The large crowds that flocked to Ontario for the 2013 cruise were treated to a first class car event that was widely applauded by all in attendance. The 2014 show will be a full-throttle affair, fueling the weekend of Sept. 19-21 with even more cars, more action, food and entertainment than ever before. Block upon block of vintage automobiles, chrome and steel will line historic Euclid Avenue, where live music, vendors, food and festivities will offer plenty to do throughout the three-day affair.

Highlights of this year's event include Show-n-Shines, Neon Cruises Poker Run, Model Car Contests, Pinstriping Circus, and Great Food, Fun and Family Entertainment.

“Southern California grew from its rich love affair with the automobile,” said Michael Krouse, President and CEO of the Greater Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau. “People from all over the nation made the trek here last year to celebrate the Cruisin’ Reunion. Some even followed Route 66 to get here.”

Vehicle Registration for the 2014 show is limited to the first 2,000 approved vehicles and motorcycles manufactured from 1900 through 1975.
