Angel Fire Resort, located in the Rocky Mountains of northern New Mexico, is expanding its popular bike park and high-elevation zipline to offer the most value for Western vacationers this summer.

The newest addition to the summer fun is the Rocky Mountain Zipline Adventure Tour, which takes thrill-seekers through multiple zipline stages at the summit.

angelfire_ziplineAlong with ziplining, the resort continues its commitment to families by offering something for every everyone including: a dedicated bike park with over 50 miles of cross-country and downhill trails, high-altitude golfing, tennis, stocked fishing lakes, scenic hiking, high-altitude Frisbee golf, outdoor movie nights under the stars, fine and al fresco dining establishments and live entertainment.

The Angel Fire Zipline Adventure Tour is one of the highest elevation zipline tours in the United States and the very first of its kind in New Mexico. The six-segment tour gives adrenaline seekers an extra kick as they fly 200 feet high above the forest floor.

A zipline tour connects multiple ziplines of varying lengths and descents. The adventure begins with an introductory zipline of only 100 feet and works up to the Super Zipline, which carries guests on a 1,600-foot cable 200 feet above the forest floor. It is actually two side-by-side ziplines, so visitors can race your friends and family.

While Angel Fire Resort will offer the thrill seekers the high elevation segments, they've also built milder courses for those with young families or those looking to zipline for the very first time. Visitors must weight between 100 to 270 pounds to participate. Pricing starts at $105 per rider. Reservations opened April 15, 2013, with the Zipline opening May 17.

Angel Fire Resort now also offers the most affordable Bike Park in the Rockies, offering 50 miles of new and enhanced trails for riders of all abilities.

In an effort to appeal to the beginner and intermediate rider, the Angel Fire Bike Park has expanded and reworked the trails so beginners will have a safe and controlled environment to learn the sport, improve their basic skills and fine-tune the right technique for difficult sections.

The Bike Park also boasts the longest season in the Rockies with all trails open from May 17 to Oct. 27, 2013, offering riders 108 days of riding, weather permitting. This year riders will experience the expansion along the backside of the mountain the new Enduro Trails.

Daily Passes start at just $30 and a Summer Gravity Pass for $250, which allows unlimited lift access all summer long. The Bike Park also offers full rentals and lessons for those trying out the sport for the first time.

Angel Fire Resort is a top year-round mountain resort destination in New Mexico. Situated at over 8,600 feet elevation in the Southern Rocky Mountains. For more information visit the Website at
