Ojai Valley Inn & Spa's 2nd Annual Celebrity Chef Classic, a weekend filled with food, wine and golf, will take place Oct. 15-16, 2010, with proceeds from the Southern California event benefitting two important charities.
Hit the links alongside some of California's most innovative chefs including Chef Budi Kazali of the Ballard Inn & Restaurant in Santa Barbara, Chef Bradley Ogden of Lark Creek Steak in San Francisco, Chef Mark Peel of Campanile in Los Angeles, Chef Ben Ford of Ford's Filling Station in Culver City, as well as the Inn's own Executive Chef Jamie West.
The Celebrity Chef Classic kicks off Friday evening with a VIP cocktail reception by the new Herb Garden Pool with wine and appetizers presented by each celebrity chef.
The golf tournament begins Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start where guests have the opportunity to play Ojai's greens, designed by George C. Thomas, Jr. and home to seven PGA Senior Tour events, alongside our participating chefs and celebrities.
The tournament will be followed by an awards ceremony and reception in Jimmy's Pub. The event concludes with a celebratory gala dinner and live auction Saturday evening.
Proceeds from the event will benefit two charities - Help of Ojai (www.helpofojai.org), the largest social services organization in the Ojai Valley, and Share Our Strength (www.strength.org), a national organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger.
Rates begin at $1,272.50 excluding taxes (single occupancy), or $1,995 excluding taxes (double occupancy) and includes two nights in deluxe Shangri-La accommodations, tournament golf, Friday's welcome reception, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, as well as Saturday's gala dinner.
