For a limited time only, Ogden, Utah's Ogden Pioneer Days 75th Anniversary is offering advanced general admission ticket sales to the weeklong PRCA sanctioned rodeo starting July 20, 2009, at a discounted rate of $6 per ticket.
Advanced tickets to the rodeo on the evenings of July 20-23 are currently available and can be purchased at a discounted rate of $6 per person through May 31, 2009.
While the rodeo arena has a capacity to seat more than 12,000 people, only a limited number of tickets to each night's event will be available as part of this advanced tickets sales. It is anticipated that each night will be sold out.
Typically, the most popular night is July 24. However, this year's rodeo will feature a number of special nightly events, including a Miss Rodeo Utah Pageant and a "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" night where all the cowboys wear pink to help raise money for breast cancer awareness.
"We really want to make tickets to the rodeo and for that matter all of this year's events, affordable for families," said Alan Hall, Honorary Chairman of the 75th Anniversary Celebration Committee. "Pioneer Days has so many activities and offers so much diversity that we hope families will take advantage of the activities and use this to create and build family traditions for years to come."
Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Information about acquiring tickets is available by calling Scott Lucas at (801) 388-8466.
In addition to the rodeo, the Ogden Pioneer Days 75th Anniversary Celebration events and activities will also include a Pioneer Day parade, a concert by the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Ogio FMX Motorcycle Flyers, National Day of the Cowboy celebration, fireworks shows, a huge pancake breakfast, the Traces of the West art show and more.
